Description

Blackberry is easily recognized while growing abundantly in hedgerows, along roadsides, and in the sunlit edges of forests. Blackberry has been enjoyed for its sweet ripe berries, and the entire plant was used as a folk remedy in the times of ancient Greece. The roots of Rubus armeniacus are tannic and astringent. Blackberry root can be used in washes, baths, infusions, and extracts.

The blackberry is a member of the rose family.
